Wildlife Fundraiser 2026 Hats

I am constantly on the lookout for ideas to raise money for the little critters we displace with our modern society. Last year at the Forever Homes for Paws fundraiser I sold every hat I painted. To include the one on my head, while the many other handcrafted items I had for sale found just a drizzle of sales.

The next Fundraiser I exclusively drew animal caricatures and killed. So it became a no brainer to focus on painting hats. The below hats are for the April Fundraiser for the Nolan River Wildlife.

Another batch of blank hats are enroute and I can't wait to get my brush on them. Below are the "completed so far" hats for donations.

Ford Motor Company gave 50K to NRW because they support our efforts in rehabilitation of displaced wildlife here in KY. Big hug and Kiss to Ford who was not solicited for this gift.

I will post the next batch.

Georg Williams is the GOAT.

I fundraise for Animal Shelters as a Pet Caricature Artist. The first year I turned out crap caricatures. I made a ton of money for the Forever Homes for Paws: to my surprise. So I was asked back but felt guilty for not providing a quality product.

Georg Williams created his own style of caricatures that are both sweet and reflective of the animal's personality. I have redrawn every image I could find of his life's work. So you will see his influence and some of the below images are my GW practice.

Tom Richmond the GOAT for humans was another artist whom I drew and redrew until I was able to confidently add my own style. I probably filled six large sketch books just redrawing his catalog. I was never really able to come close to his skill level but that didn't stop me.

My animal caricatures are influenced by GW and his influence is apparent. There is an upcoming fundraiser where I am the main event. Pray for me. Although I am not confident in my finished products, I am able to turn out a better product than last year's attempt.

I hope that Georg is looking down on my effort with a smile because my intent, through donations, is to fill the jar to the top. I take nothing: I'm not really selling the caricatures. I credit Georg on my sign. Although anyone familiar with his work will see it immediately.

Getting money for VET bills is my passion. Drawing animals brings me joy. I am practicing at least one hour a day until the event. Did I already say, "pray for me"?

I still have two weeks to incur a miracle. Here are a few of the thousand attempts I have made so far.

Practice equals results

I use many different styles to capture each breed's uniqueness, and it easily fills sketchbook after sketchbook. I am training by drawing the artists I admire hoping my style will emerge. Sounds like it should, right? I'd give credit the caricature artists I use but I don't always know.

A side benefit of becoming a better animal caricature artist is not only raising more funds for VET bills. Being able to spend more time admiring and submersing myself in the loving energy of these gifts from the angelic realm makes me a better happier human.
