Bucket List Mind Blown

What can I say.
First, Tom delivered. He is very qualified to teach this class and unbelievably talented. Class was well structured and he is able to instantly hone in on (and help with) your specific weaknesses.

Second we all basically got ours asses handed to us. No matter how good we thought we were.....We weren't. Except crazy man.

I thoroughly enjoyed my classmates work. I really learned from their drawings as well. What a bunch of fun diverse people. The highlight being running into a fellow Army PSYOP'er from 37 years ago. We were stationed at Fort Bragg NC, together and since the Army has so few 81E-Graphic Illustrators, and Tom has only had 5 dozen Caricature Artists this just makes this even more mind-boggling.

Hanging with my nephew Ryan for four days ...well just put a fuckin bow on it. Ya.

Soul food. I just can't say it better. Wow, just Wow.

Two Weeks out from Tom's Class

Desperately trying to improve my skills I have been drawing the sketches in Tom's book. If I was being honest I've probably drawn most of them going on three times. So if you see one and think it's pretty good, by no means think it was a first time-right out of the shoot thing.

So the sketchbook goes Toms book left to right, and my sketches right to left. I really need to step it up on Hair and Bodies. As well as justifying why I'm doing this at all. Or not. :)

The Mooch

Today's quick sketch the Mooch. Will miss his many faces and colorful language. Not him tho.

Probably more of a sketch than a character, David Wilcox is someone who seems very character-able, and yet I drew him. I will come back to him. This one is a feature warm up. Ya that it.

Saturday's sketches

So ya Prince is ok. But Gene didn't really become a Caricature. Not even a very good representation. Hence the name Wicked. ha ha thud.
